Songwriterz Behind Davido's New Album!!

A Good Time:

Music is a business but it seems most music lovers in this part of Africa don't care to understand that fact.

Many musicians have been criticized a lot by their fans and even fans of other musicians because they paid some younger artistes off for their songs.

Among these musicians we have Davido. Over the years,Davido has been the centre of criticism for music critics just because he bought most of his hit song

It was claimed that Runtown wrote Davido's 2015 hit song 'Aye',Peruzzi wrote him 'Fia' ,Tekno wrote and produced 'If' for him while Mayorkun was the mastermind behind his critically acclaimed single 'Fall'. But this artistes are not complaining.

I know it would shock many when they realised that more than 20 songwriters wrote Burna boy's African Giant Album,

but no one talks about that.

Well,in 2019 Davido released an album titled 'A good time' the album featured top international acts like Chris Brown,Summer Walker and Gunna. 

Here are the songwriters to be credited for the success of the Album:

1.Adekunle Gold:

Adekunle Gold is a Nigerian highlife singer,songwriter and designer. He rose to prominence in 2015 when he released a cover to One direction's story of my life.He was formerly signed to Olamide's YBNL records and has produced massive hits like orente,friend zone,ready, ariwo ko and lots more.

Adekunle Gold was the mastermind behind the writing of Davido's hit single 'One milli'. Davido gave credits to Adekunle Gold for writing such a classic tune for him,the song however topped music charts in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

Adekunle Gold is fantastic.

2. WurLD:

Sadiq Onifade known professionally as WurLD is a Nigerian singer and songwriter,he describes his style as Electro-fusion. WurLD relocated to the US as a teenager and Received his college education at Georgia State University,studying computer science,in the process he developed passion for music.

WurLD is not an upcoming Nigerian musician! WurLD has been in the game since 2012 and he released his debut EP on 2013 which he titled 'Evolution'.

WurLD has featured popular musicians because like Major Lazer,BK Brasco,Gromee and Walshy.

In 2019,WurLD co-wrote the hit song Blow my mind by Davido featuring Chris Brown.The song was produced by Davido's long time friend and producer 'Shizzi'. Remember,Shizzi was also the one who produced 'Skelewu' in 2012.

3.Shaydee:

Shadrach Adeboye Folarin known professionally as Shaydee is a Nigerian Singer-songwriter and Vocalist. Unlike Tiwa Savage,Shaydee was born in Kano State,Nigeria. Shaydee is the second of four children. Shaydee was Wizkid former label mate as they were both signed to the "EME entertainment" back then.

He is best known for his hit single titled 'Won gbo Mi' and 'Make sense' featuring vocal appearance from Wizkid. He wrote a song titled 'Green light riddim' on Davido's 'good time' album. He was also featured by DJ Cuppy last year on her hit track titled 'Abena'. 

4.Yonda:

Yonda is a DMW signed which most People actually expected much from but he hasn't been delivering much as expected. Though over the years he has a couple of hits like 'Aje' a DMW joint release ,'Bad girl riri' which features vocal appearance from 'Mayorkun' and 'Las Vegas' featuring 'Burna boy'.

In 2019,he co-wrote 3 songs on Davido's album which are 'intro','company' and 'animashaun' respectively.
